im not realy sure how to make it up to him. i kinda ran over his ankle and its spranged(is that right?)
what should i do? i figure i have about 2 or 3 hours before he gets home from the hospital. i wasnt even sure whether to go there with him or not…should i have gone?
Sorry to hear that. Believe it or not, a sprained ankle will not shorten his life unless he is elderly. A sprained ankle may hurt a lot but it is temporary.
I would meet him at the car, apologize, and help with anything you can.
Offer to assist him with anything he might need right away and ask questions like what did the doc say, what is the diagnosis, and what are the doctors orders.
Visit with him and offer some practical assistance. Maybe you can pick up a prescription for him or do some chores.
Try to relax a little. It will be OK. Both his injury and your relationship can heal can heal remarkably well.
P.S. My brothers best buddy ran him over with a big old heavy tractor and they stayed friends. Accidents happen.
