Aren’t basketball, golf and tennis too repetitious to watch a whole game or match?
Only the last two minutes of a basketball game are exciting because there’s too much scoring even though the scoring has been cut so that final scores are now 97-93 instead of what they used to be, 123-117. But it’s still a scoring marathon and if a game is tied with two minutes to go it’s like they played 46 minutes that were a wash to play two minutes to decide a winner. Golf even with Tiger Woods was boring as hell. There’s less than two minutes of action in a golf match that lasts three hours. All you see is golf carts and golfers walking and riding with their caddies and by time they finally putt you could fall asleep ten minutes before. Tennis after you’ve seen a couple of long vollies you’ve seen them all. How can anybody watch a ball being hit back and forth across a net for four hours. I’ve seen many terrific vollies that lasted up to a minute and a half and that’s all I ever want to see. Why would anybody still be watching tennis? The fans of all three of these sports very rarely if ever have any semblance of a sense of humor and are repulsive. Hockey and football at least aren’t games that repeat themselves ad nauseum and baseball although it can be slow is watchable if you have a rooting interest. A lot of women are golf and tennis fans because women follow personalities much more than they do the actual flow of the game itself. Most women have far too much tolerance for stultifying mundanity.
