could a tennis player be a good golf player?

I have played tennis all my life and I am pretty good at it. I am moving to a new city next year and the school has a varsity golf team (no JV). I have never played golf in my life…except mini golf haha. I was wondering if I practiced golf this summer, if it would be possible to make a varsity golf team. I have had people tell me that tennis players are good golf players. is that true?

Why couldn’t they? Anyone can be good at anything if they practice! I played tennis first, then played football, ice hockey, and some basketball. Golf would probably even fit in better with tennis because both are very focused on coordination, form, and technique. You will do great!
