What kind of life time line would you give a 75 year old who have inoperable aortic aneurysm.?

My Father has an inoperable aortic aneurysm the size of 2 golf balls. What kind of life expectancy can I expect for him?

with good blood pressure management he may get as many yeras as he would have even if he did not have the aneurysm…it is very difficult to say and even the doctors can only give a guideline…there are several things that come into the equation…where the aneurysm is, ascending aorta, thoracic aorta, abdominal aorta??? how big it is…mine was 5 cm when I had it replaced with the dacron tubing…it was an ascending aortic aneurysm (the most deadliest if it burst).
His general health and lifestyle and his size all make differences to his life expectancy… His aneurysm could even possibly be inoperable because it is more dangerous for him to have the operation than live with it at present…which seems to say to me that he is in rather frail health at present…

I wish you and your dad all the very best…

what is the life expectancy of a good set of golf clubs?

Ping, calaway etc. Thanks!

A quality set of golf clubs , both irons and woods under normal use should last a player 30 to 40 years. The wedges and scoring irons like the 7,8,9 and PW might require groove sharpening but the playability , otherwise , is not effected. The majority of new club purchases are by those who are looking for the set of " magic wands" which are " game improvement " clubs . Another reason is having youngsters who become interested in the game who need clubs. They inherit mother or dad’s clubs who then buy the new sticks.

What kind of paint do you use to paint on an already made golf ball?

I was thinking of painting a golf ball for my dad for fathers day because he loves golf and has a shelf to put golf balls on. Does anyone know what kind of paint would work best to put on golf balls?
Any specific kind of brush you recommend?

You should be able to use the small bottles of modeling enamel. Clean the ball with alcohol or paint thinner and keep your bare fingers off of it.
Go or call to a driving range and ask what paint they use to mark the balls to keep people from taking them.

Would you like to golf with Jebus and Moses?

Moses and Jebus had this Old Man out for a game of golf. Moses was up first. He teed up hit the ball but damn if it didn’t go into pool of water. Moses went down held up his hands spread the water, walked in the dry pond hit the ball on the green and made the hole on his first putt. He came in under par.
Next Jebus was up. He hit the ball but damn if it didn’t go in the pond too. Jebus went down walked out on the water, He saw the ball wasn’t deep so he took a swing knocked the ball up on the green and he cam in under par too.
Now the Old Man teed up He swung and hit the ball. Just as it was about to go in the pond a fish jumped out and grabbed it in his mouth. Just then an Eagle swooped down and snatches the fish up in its talons. as it flew over the green a hunter in the woods took a shot at the eagle who dropped the fish. The ball bounced out of the fish’s mouth and rolled in the hole. For a hole in one.
Jebus turned to the Old Man! "Come on Dad stop fooling around and play the game right."

Who is Jebus?

duuuude :]?

Okay so tomorrow I’m going to go to my first job interview at Putt Putt mini golf. I’m kinda nervous :/

Any tips?
Yeah, perhaps I’ll tell the manager how awesome KFC is. He’ll definatly hire me :]

Make sure to smile a lot and be careful not to act to nervous. It will be all right! You might want to apply somewhere else, personally I would HATE to work at putt putt. But I work as house keeper/nanny for Mormons (not the ones in long dresses, these ones are nice respectable people, dad’s a lawyer, they have eight kiddos) , I guess everyone has there thing!

Why is there so much BAD golf instruction out there? Do we need to standardize teaching?

Are there any peer reviewed golf journals, seems like there is alot of contradictory information in the major golf magazines.

I went to teaching conference before I gave my first lesson. I didn’t have to, just felt I should have some training before I start. Two of the main speakers have articles out almost every month. They both said what they write and what ends up in print are not the same. One lost his job when he made the statement in public.

I was so confused after the second day, felt out of place sitting in a room with coat tie and half everyone age. This was 20 years ago. I went to a driving range just outside of Austin Texas to check it out. I started watching this guy give lessons that I could relate to. Two guys sat behind me and made comments but I didn’t turn around. This guy kept everything simple. When the guy behind starting taking he lesson, I realized it was Tom Kite. I asked his dad what the instructors name was and he said Harvey Penick. I said Harvey who?

The PGA is coming up with some volunteer certification programs, I don’t think that will solve the problem.

One problem no one has prove anything and no checks. I came unglued one night when I came across a infocomerical with my cart boy in it. He said he played on the Pepsi Tour and was Teacher of the Year……. I set him to take his PAT the next week and never saw him again. The PGA section called me and said he shot 115 on the first round, so they sent him packing.

What brand of golf putter should i get?

I’ve been playing for a few months now, (ive been using my dad’s clubs) but now ive decided i want to start getting my own clubs, one at a time. Im planning on getting used ones from play it again sports or whatever. I just dont know which brands/models i should look for. I’m open to try any kind of club (different grips lengths etc.)
so…any ideas on what i should look for?

you can try every brand if it’s possible, then find out which brand is suitable for you. it also depends on what the price range you can accept.
