Which president liked golf so much that he had a putting green built on the White House lawn?

It was Eisenhower.
The United States Golf Association, with the help of privately donated money, built a two-hole putting green and a sand trap on the White House lawn very near the Oval Office. He kept an iron in the Oval Office so that he could escape to the lawn and practice.

Golf help?

I make really good contact with the ball, but when I hit it I almost always involuntarily slice it or hook it. In other words, I’m not consistant. Any suggestions? Also, when I chip and putt I can read the green very well, but I cant get the power right. Any suggestions to that as well?

I am on a high school team. On nine holes i usually hit between a 48-57 but for some reason I have recently been shooting a in the 60′s and it is really starting to get to me. Any help? I really want to shed stroke off of my game.
** I have Callaway X-20′s and I LOVE them, and they are very forgiving… I hit them the best out of about 6 other clubs I hit when searching for clubs.
*** I always walk the nine holes and practice as often as I can. I average about 2-3 times a week, due to school and other things that get in the way of practice.
As much as I’d like to say that I could get help from the pro, he’s an idiot. He may be able to play very well but he sure as heck doesn’t know how to teach it. He’ll try to teach you his swing, and his style. I am friends with a guy that is currently getting his PGA card and he told me that if someone tried to teach you there swing to not listen to them, since you would never reach your full potential.

Also when i made the team i shot about 13 over, which is good for a freshman. Please help me, since I have nobody to help me. I’ve tried the guy who’s getting his PGA card has to work and he can’t help me so please give me some advice!!!

Try getting a club that breaks if you don’t swing correctly. That may help

hello my bag just ripped and now im looking for a new bag. i had the cleveland sunday and i really liked it. i really love the Ogio Nexos. i have heard Ogios a good brand but i don’t no what problems the bag has? i have heard the bag’s legs break or something but i don’t know if its true. any good bag reviews on the bag. if you suggest/ prefer any other brand tell me

The Callaway Mini Looper Stand Bag is about $60 and has 5 zippered storage compartments, the down side is the opening is 7". Callaway Warbird is a nice one two a little more expensive but is 9" diameter and has a large garment compartment, very roomy all around.

What has happened to my golf game…please help…?

Last week I was hitting the ball ten yards further with each club, averaging around 1.3 putts per hole, hitting everything straight, and getting the lowest scores of my life.

This week I am hitting the ball with less distance than I’ve had all year long, averaging 1.9 putts a hole, hitting everything right, duffing shots quite a bit, and playing some of the worst golf in years.

I am a freshman and last week I was on varsity, after my bad performance on monday of this week, i got sent to jv. Now because of how bad i played yesterday, the jv coach doesnt even know if im going to play next monday. What has happened to me?

My first thought is that some swing flaw has crept into your swing. What happens when this happens is it causes a few bad shots, then if it isn’t fixed it soon translates into lost confidence. It starts preoccupying your mind on most of your shots and can severely effect your game.

My advice, is to go see your PGA Professional ASAP.

Teens!! I need your help please!!?

My birthday is in April, and Im almost positive that my crush can go. I like to plan what food and stuff I’m gonna have EARLY. So should I do a pool party (i can show off in my bathing suit) movie theater (we can be in the dark XD) or mini golf (he can help me putt) Opinions???

Definitely not mini golfing lol. You should go to the movies because you guys can be closer and the whole dark thing is always good. A pool party would be fun too so whatever you like is fine. How the hell did you come up with your user name? Body cream? Um ok lol good luck! =]
