I need to improve my Golf Putting badly. I am good with the Swinging?

Any secret methods?

The secret is to practice! Everyone has a different putting stroke you must find one that fits you and feels the most comfortable. The key to becoming a good putter is to not to not be nervous it is just to perform when you have that nervous tension. Here is a great exercise to master this. Get 5 golf balls and put them 3 feet away from the hole. Try to make 50 putts in a row maybe even 100. when you get to the last 5 putts you will be extremely nervous. This is a good way to practice putting while being nervous it also helps you build a consistent putting stroke. GOOD LUCK!

how big do you think a miniature golf place is? Width by length?

an average putt-putt/mini-golf place has about 18 holes. I don’t really know how big the entire area would be including a building for the snack bar/restrooms/register. Estimates please?

Putt-putt is just a kids putting area.
Miniature golf for many means golfing fairways, but each hole only 130 to 240 feet long. Each hole being a par 3 to chip and putt.

Best is to do your research by visiting a few putt-putt places near you, or Google them. You-Tube has some putt-putt golf holes. Some elaborate ones include machinery to carry the ball overhead. Others have windmills to putt under by timing the ball to miss the windmill blades.
Basic ones are as 6 to 12 yards long and 1.5 yards wide, carpeted sunk into concrete edges for the ball to ricochet off.
Multipy that by 18 holes and add coffee tables and office area and you can get an idea.

Good luck

Am I an average 19 year old golfer? If not can you give me any tips on how to improve my game?

My average for 9 holes is 52 on a par 36 course, for 18 it is about 105 for a par 72.
I have played golf for 10 years. But have only really started playing and trying to get better the last 2.
In the last two years I have probably dropped my average about 13 strokes on 9 holes and about 30 on 18 holes.
Best part about my game is putting and chipping. I average about 16 chips and 25 putts in a round of 18. My drives our horrendous (about 150 yards/drive).

Put more effort into it man… have a training regime 3 times a week and a round of 18 atleast once a week. lessons from a pro dont hurt either. its all worth it if you really wanna break 100 or even 90. break up your practice to 40% driving/swing 30% chip/pitch 30% putt good luck!

ok im 15 and i play alot of golf and im pretty good but my putting is pretty bad can any help my bad putting?

ok i play golf almost every day and average about a 40-42 but i know i can do a lot better but my putting is not that great,i get really nervous and that makes me miss putts, and then i loose all confidence,so can any one help me

The best thing you can do to help your putting is to focus on speed and distance control. If you always focus on stroking your putts the correct distance, it removes a lot of the pressure from trying to make putts or trying to not miss putts. Even on the practice green, set up on your line, assume that you have aimed it as well as you can, and try to roll it the right distance.
Good luck!

golf putting drills?

1. make sure you always have a good follow through
2. you can use a string and marker for this drill – Mark the length of stroke for 3, 6, 9, and 12 foot putts. Work on it so you know exactly what to do for each distance. Once you have that down your way ahead
.
three best ways to practice your putting.

golf putting grip?

what kind of grip do you use for putting? anyone have any links on grips for putting

slightly overlapped thumbs both laying on the flat face of the grip…but that is just what I feel comfortable with…putting more than any other club is all about what you feel comfortable with and can repeat easily…not sure what youre using but try to make sure youre lined up good, using two clubs and putting inside of them like a track is a good drill, or one club at your feet to see how straight your stroke is…you can go to any search engine and look up ‘putting tips’, it will give you a number of resources to study…work hard and good luck!

If a Golf Player’s life story was taken as a Film. Which Hollywood actor will potray him the best???

Only Hollywood actors please…..

Maybe it depends who or what sort of person the golfer is. There would be a number of pictures about golfers eg. comedy ones like Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler is in that) and Caddyshack. A serious picture is The Legend of Bagger Vance (Matt Damon is in that as a golfer). I think a lot of actors could play a golfer – would need some lessons if they can’t already play, and be able to look tidy and act it well – some could be Denzel Washington, Tom Cruise, Christian Bale, Robert Redford, Tom Hanks, Chris O’Donnell, Kurt Russell, Don Cheadle, Gary Sinise and a lot of others, like the actors in the other answer. Good luck, hope you find what you are looking for.

What specific golf clubs does a beginner need to play?I know you need a driver and a putter but what else?

I just ordered a driver on line and that is all I own. I’m going to practice driving at a virtual golf place until it gets warmer outside. I am an absolute beginner. What would be the minimum clubs I would need to actually play a round? I am an older (54) female so think the hybrids would be good for me. I am not actually looking for brand recommendations here, but club types. That said, the Callaway GES system sounds good to me because it apparently only has seven clubs which sounds about right to me but I am having trouble finding it. Does anyone know how I could replicate that buying individual clubs? I don’t really want a full set, at least not yet. And carrying 14 clubs around, many of which I probably wouldn’t use at least not soon, sounds like a waste of energy. So what is the minimum and what are they? Please be specific because a lot of what I have read is pretty confusing. So many choices! Thanks.

I am 58 yr old golfer – been playing for 18 months. I use Driver, 3 wood, 4 iron 6 iron 9 iron pitching wedge sand wedge and putter. My irons are all hybrid, and all my clubs are ladies grade with graphite shafts. Very easy to use. Good luck, you are starting a brand new life. I wish I had started years ago.
